From 2002 to 2022, pickleball-related fractures in the United States increased 90-fold. According to the National Electronic Injury Surveillance System (NEISS), about 5,400 fractures occur annually among pickleball players, primarily due to falls.

Stay safe on the court with these tips:

Warm Up: Do gentle stretches and movements to loosen muscles and joints.
Wear Proper Shoes: Choose court shoes with good support and traction.
Stay Aware: Pay attention to your movements and surroundings.
Check the Court: Ensure the playing surface is clean and dry.
Pace Yourself: Take breaks and avoid overexertion, especially if you're new or returning after a break.
