➡️ Many top-level teams resort to a slower speed of play.

Zane Navratil commented on the rules for serves in Pickleball, stating that subjectivity should be eliminated with the drop serve: "A drop serve would only take two criteria for the referees to consider an illegality: if the player throws the ball up or if the player throws the ball down. That's why I vote for allowing only the drop serve," he said on The King of Court Podcast.

The Johns Bros strategy has led them to more men's doubles titles than any in the game. Collin explains how that strategy was developed and what makes it so hard to beat: “We’ve worked out a game style that allows the best player in the world (Ben) to touch the ball a lot and put a lot of pressure.”“People have not been able to crack that code very often. I feel we’re a team that is very hard to beat. “The deflection tests (in #PPA ) are not great. We need to throw the ball into the paddle at a given speed and see how hard it come off the paddle. It doesn’t matter how thin or thick is the paddle or what surface is. Here’s what the limit is and if it exceeds it you’re not allowed to use the paddle,” Johns said in PicklePod.“I’ve talked to Carl Schmetz a bit on that. They (PPA) want to move to that test, but it’s going to be more expensive and more time consuming.
