🎾💰 According to Travis Rettenmaier, for #Pickleball to reach its full potential, gambling plays a crucial role. He emphasizes the need for fair outcomes and trust in the sport.

"You can’t have circumstances where people that are a bit classless and don’t necessarily care about the way that they appear are willing to cheat and win at all costs. Unfortunately, we’re still in a circumstance with MLP—and pickleball in general—where there’s no recourse for these people, and they are willing to cheat", he added.

As a sport, we must decide how much emphasis we're putting on the Mid Season Tournament.

Is a mid-season tournament win going to be held in the same regard as a championship? Or is a championship the most important metric, with everything else falling into a separate category.

While the MLP and the NBA are two completely different sports, both have an in-season tournament (not counting toward their record) and the playoffs (at the end of the season). It's very apparent that basketball players, coaches, journalists etc. care about 1 thing and 1 thing only: championships. Will we do the same in Pickleball?

Also, does advancing further in the mid-season tournament hinder future performances? We'll find out soon. @majorleaguepb

🏓 The D.C. Pickleball Team is acquiring Vivian Glozman from the Bay Area Breakers in exchange for Allyce Jones a monetary amount of $100,000. 💰

🤠 The Texas Ranchers are sending Pablo Tellez to the Brooklyn Aces in exchange for Martin Emmrich, another lefty. 🎾

💵 Sources have confirmed that Texas paid the Utah Black Diamonds $100,000 for the top pick in the first round of Waiver Period 1. Utah will receive Texas' No. 7 overall pick slot. The Ranchers will most likely use this pick to replace Emmrich with Quang Duong. #MLP #Pickleball #News

According to multiple sources, the UPA-A (the governing body for the UPA) is about to announce that beginning in 2025, paddle brands must pay $100,000 per year and $5,000 per paddle for certification and regulation.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Flash stole the show on the individual side. 🏅 JW Johnson, Jorga Johnson, and Augie Ge dominated the court, going a crazy 19-5 combined! 🤯🚨 Don't forget Hurricane Tyra Black who brought the heat for Dallas with 5 wins out of 8 games. 🌪️🔥🚨

🏆 Premier Level - Texas Ranchers replace Christian Alshon with Quang Duong. Alshon didn’t play in PPA Sacramento and PPA Dallas.

🔥 Challenger Level - California Black Bears replace DJ Young with Spencer Smith. Young apparently injured his wrist last weekend at PPA Sacramento according to Miller.
