Hello, this is Diego Loveshe, President of the Concordia University Chicago (CUC) Pickleball Club. We are looking to advance the growth of pickleball on our campus and become a leading club in the collegiate pickleball scene.

We have consistently faced several difficulties in raising money for our club since its inception. In light of this, we just set up a GoFundMe for the CUC Pickleball Club. Any amount goes a long way. Your donation will help us purchase equipment (balls, nets, video equipment) and cover travel and lodging expenses for any tournament and match play.

jackmunro will become the second-ever active college pickleball player to play for a @majorleaguepb team following in collin_shick7's footsteps.

Jack was chosen 2nd overall in the Challenger Level shuffle draft for the chicagoslicemlp, meaning they're expecting BIG THINGS from the kid.

Fresh off his biggest win as a pro (APP New York City), we'll see how this college star handles the MLP!

3 Storylines for MLP Dallas! MLP begins today and we have you covered on the top storylines going into the event!⭐ Who will make it out of the group of death? Premier Level Group A is loaded with talent and features the defending champs (Orlando Squeeze), Ben John's Chicago Slice, the Julian Arnold-led AZ Drive and the Texas Ranchers. 2 of the teams will be eliminated in group play. While the odds on favorites for coming in last are the Ranchers, the big question is who will be that second team eliminated. 1 team is leaving this tournament feeling surprised their run ended early.⭐ Riley Newman - the master at getting silver medals and runner-up trophies. Only joking here...well kind of. Riley Newman has often been touted as the second-best men's doubles player on the planet and an exceptional mixed doubles player, but those fan-given accolades haven't earned him an MLP title. His DC Pickleball Team was up 2-0 in games in the finals last MLP before the squeeze completed one of the best comebacks in pickleball history. Now the field is even tighter, more pressure has mounted and everyone is wondering if Riley Newman can prove to the pickleball world he can close matches and win a championship!⭐There's always that one player in the Challenger Level that plays out of their mind, plays better than their draft position and ultimately helps their team in winning the Challenger Level trophy. Last tournament it was CJ Klinger.Last season it was Pablo Tellez, Christian Alshon and Connor Garnett. Who's that player this time around? Emily Ackerman? Erik Pailet? Wes Burrows? The list goes on, but only one of these players will become THAT player! We'll find out starting on Thursday.

Dylan Frazier on The Drop podcast made his predictions about Group A, where his team Texas Ranchers will face the defending champions Orlando Squeeze, Arizona Drive, and Chicago Slice..... No doubt it will be the group of death 😬➡️ He put the Ranchers and Chicago as playoff qualifiers (first and second respectively). It is worth remembering that 3 of these teams made the playoffs in MLP Atlanta 👀#Pickleball #MLP #Pro #News

The Greatest Comeback in Pro Pickleball History, Ben Johns & Anna Leigh Waters NOT making it to the finals and the meteoric rise of Rachel Rohrabacher for the Orlando Squeeze were all fantastic storylines exiting #MLP Atlanta! But I'm here to give you 3 Unique Takeaways following possibly the biggest Pro Event in Pickleball history. 1) Tim Parks 1, Riley Newman 0. Parks, co-owner of the SoCal Hard 8s, got his first MLP championship under his belt before Newman (whom Parks drafted with his first-round pick in Season 1 of 2023). Parks with Newman by his side in Season 1, had abysmal results, which came to the surprise of the Pickleball world. How could Newman, being as good as he is, not at the very least get to one semifinal in the latter two events of season 1. Parks even barked at a celebrity ProAm earlier last week that Newman wasn't a significant factor in Season 1 when being interviewed. All that trash talk prior to the tournament was put to rest when Parks' Hard 8s took home gold in the Challenger Level final over the Las Vegas Night Owls via Dreambreaker. Newman on the other hand was on the wrong side of a Dreambreaker with his D.C. Pickleball Team blowing a 2-0 games lead against the Orlando Squeeze in the Premier Level finals. 2) Ewa Radzikowska Season 1 and Season 2 MLP Champ. So far the Polish Radzikowska is the only player to win an MLP event in Season 1 and Season 2 in 2023. She won the first two events of Season 1 with the Bay Area Breakers, alongside Rachel Summers, Pablo Tellez and Christian Alshon; she followed that up by winning MLP Atlanta with the Hard 8s featuring Yana Newell, Todd Fough and CJ Klinger. While these wins were in the Challenger Level, it takes nothing away from the value Radzikowska brings to her team in all 3 phases of pickleball: gender doubles, mixed doubles and singles. 3) Ackerman follows in Connor Garnett's Footsteps. As I always say (well not really, but I always think it), to make it far in the Challenger Level you need players that got “snubbed” from the Premier Level or “will be” in the Premier Level next draft. Obviously, that has changed since there won't be a draft nor two different levels come the start of 2024, but the sentiment remains the same. I mean look at the Bay Area Breakers who won the first two events in Challenger Level Season 1, they had Pablo Tellez and Christian Alshon who were drafted in the Premier Level for Season 2 (they also had Vivian Glozman in Event 3 in Season 1, who was also drafted in the Premier Level for S2). For me, Ackerman was that player for the Night Owls in Atlanta and she follows in her former teammate Connor Garnett's footsteps, who made the jump from Challenger to Premier Level after winning the Super Final in Season 1! In Atlanta, Ackerman went 4-2 in the group stage on Thursday, then went 2-2 in the playoffs, but had key singles points to take her team to the finals. While her run ended in a loss to the Hard 8s in the championship on Saturday, being a runner-up in any MLP event is something to be proud of. Ackerman followed by Yates Johnson has the most upside on this team. We already know what we're getting from Spencer Smith and Susannah Barr: solid veteran play. But it's Ackerman, that gives this team the X factor they needed to get into the finals. Ackerman is no stranger to coming back after a finals defeat, as she and her Chicago Slice teammates did just that in Event 3 of Season 1 to eventually take home the Super Finals win. Look for her and the Night Owls to do just that in her hometown at the next MLP event in Thousand Oaks in November.

⭐️ Bay Area Breakers and Miami Pickleball Club are the main favorites to advance directly to the semifinals, with the possible absence of Lauren Stratman at Texas Ranchers.👌 Texas Ranchers, Columbus PC, DC Pickleball Team, and Chicago Slice are all possible qualifiers to the quarterfinals.🏆 The champion would be Miami, although the possible sit out of Mary Brascia could cause problems in the final stages of the tournament.#Pickleball #MLP #News

The Bay Area Breakers had an incredible #MLP Season 1, winning the first 2 events in dominating fashion. However, Rachel Summers left the club for military duty, which resulted in the Breakers picking up Vivian Glozman (who was an excellent pick-up). That change in addition to some great play from other teams saw the Breakers lose in the semi-finals to the Chicago Slice and again in the Super Final against the Slice! Things can change quickly in MLP
