#Utah asserts its dominance at the NCPAs National Collegiate Pickleball Championship in San Diego!

🏆 We witnessed fierce battles in both the Men's and Women's brackets. 🥇 Utah Valley claimed victory over Utah Tech in the Women's division, while Utah Tech rose to defeat Utah Valley in the Men's division. 🥒💥

PPA’s Desert Ridge Open Weather Conditions 🌵🌦️

While Phoenix is one of the nicest places in the US to be in January/February, there is sometimes some rain and/or wind. ☔💨

The forecast is calling for a 50% chance of rain on both Thursday and Friday, with clouds on Saturday and Sunday. ☁️

Hopefully, the PPA Tour has an alternative indoor venue on standby, or else they may have to condense some of the brackets to ensure the entire tournament can go on. 🏓🏆

“I had a bye in singles today and had only one match,” Anna Leigh Waters said. “Today was weird. I’ve never had a tournament where I had one match that day. I’m not sure what to do for the rest of the day. Friday, Saturday and Sunday will feel like a Championship Sunday if I can get there.”

Remember that the progressive draw makes players play an one-round-per-day. The Nationals implemented this format so that fans would get to see lots of players in different disciplines and players won’t be on the court competing in more than one match per bracket per day.

This newly formed duo took 5th over the weekend at the #PPA Atlanta Open. They initially lost to Connor Garnett and Gabriel Tardio in the winner's bracket, but fought hard in the back draw to take 5th! Will be interesting to see if they play future tournaments together!
