The UPA statement reads: "For on-site testing at #MLP and #PPA Tour events, UPA has been working with and will continue to work with Pickle Pro Labs (PPL), who are an independent third party seeking to protect the integrity of the game and eliminate the potential for product-related issues from having a negative impact on the growing market." 🏓

While this doesn't say what tests will change or which updates will be made to testing, we can assume new or better testing (something many pro players, including Ben Johns, have asked for) will be announced at some point. 🔍

Updates to the DUPR algorithm:

🎯 Points Matter: DUPR now evaluates the closeness of the match.

📅 Recency Matters: A match you played today will impact your rating more than a match you played six months ago.

📊 Total Match Count Matters: If you've played in a lot of matches, your rating will fluctuate less compared to a player with a lower match count.

🏓 Every Match Matters: Every match counts towards your rating, even if you are playing against someone who is unrated or new to DUPR.

2 big changes have been made for the upcoming 2024 #MLP season. I'm sure there are more to come.1) The 2024 draft is canceled. Instead, there will be a free agency with a salary cap of $1.5 million/team. Teams can choose to spend that money on 4 players or more, essentially creating a farm team and covering themselves in case one of their "starters" gets injured.2) No more Promotion and Relegation. Those aspects of the league have been canceled. The whole 2023 season was originally pitched as each team competing to be selected into the Premier Level (the higher, above the Challenger Level) for 2024.The top 12 teams in 2023, were going to be in the Premier Level for 2024, while the remaining teams were going to be put in the Challenger Level. That has been canceled. Now the MLP will have 24 teams competing in the same level.This is just the beginning of probably many more MLP changes. What do you all think of these updates?
